Fridays. and stuff.

hi hi! It's been so long!
It's midterm time right now, so I've been more absent than usual... also since my phone had died I felt more lost than usual. My replacement phone got here this week, so now I'm back hopefully for good!

A little update on life:
~ last week was my birthday

~I've been spending a lot of time with my roommate planning for next semester's dorm decor, and admiring her awesome blue lights

~I made iced tea for the first time! I'm not much of a tea person, but I'm trying to be more open and trying different kinds of tea. I really like the iced passion one I made (the packaging is adorable also), I think I might try it with lemonade next time.

What tea flavors do you guys like? What do you recommend I try?

ice days and gifts

There is still some ice around and classes where cancelled for today, so I've stayed in watched a little tv and decided to start buying birthday gifts for two of my friends.  They both have birthdays in the same month, actually their birthdays are two days apart! Which is a little hard on my budget (read broke college student), but I'm done and with a minimal blow to my budget too!

I'm actually pretty happy with what I got them, so let me show you some of the stuff!

For the first friend it was a little tricky to pick out gifts, she is the oldest of our group and by far the most mature. She is really motherly, which makes her the mother of our small group. We lovingly call her umma, anyways she is intelligent, sporty, organized, loveable, and we both share a love of animals. We literally spend ours talking about dog, cats, and any type of animal we've been interested lately. So for her gift I decided to buy her a sporty backpack and since she has a love for organizing materials I got her a little desk organizer. I got both of them a cute backpack shaped coin wallet in their favorite colors (I couldn't resist it was too cute).

For the second friend the most difficult part of getting her a gift is that she is so easily pleased with anything. I really wanted to get something that she would really like, so I sat and thought about what I've seen she likes/uses the most. Whenever I see her she always likes using tote bags (mainly the some one), so I decided to get her a new one, I also got her a pencil case since she always has her head in the clouds (maybe she won't lose pens and pencils as easily with it). And lastly the same cute coin purse, but in green.

It's not much, but I thought them through with care and love, hopefully they'll like them ^^

So, how have all of you guys been? How has your week been? Tell me about it
*On a side note: My birthday is next week! I'm not big on birthdays, but I'm a little excited this year~

of a little snow and ice.

The trees and the bushes have all been covered in a thin layer of ice, and they all look so beautiful. I took pictures with my tablet, but as you can see they're not the best quality. In moments like this I miss my phone's camera. Oh well!
Anyways, outside it looks so wintery (that's a word, right?) and I love it. The sidewalks and the street are covered by a layer that is kind of like a mix of snow and ice, so we have to be extra careful while walking outside and driving.

For now I think I'll stay inside and eat a croissant while I drink some hot chocolate. I might go outside again later with my roommate to see other places and maybe take more pictures.

Weather reports say we are getting snow tonight, so I am very excited! To everyone in the South area getting hit with the ice storm (and to anyone who is somewhere cold right now), stay safe and stay warm.

I wish you lots of hot chocolate (or any type of hot beverage) and cuddles.

and here we go again...

A winter storm warning has been issued for the first part of the week for North Georgia. Ah, this is going to get interesting.

We haven't had a winter like this in a couple of years! Apparently, an ice storm is going to pass through... I've never really seen an ice storm before, so I don't know how to feel about it. We'll see how this week goes!

long time no blog.

Hey guys! it's been a while, hasn't it? Well it's been a busy week/weekend for me from my cellphone dying to a friend visiting and staying over for the weekend.

Remember how my phone battery died about a week or so ago? I had ordered a new one and it came in the mail this week. I was so excited to finally be able to use my phone again, so I was really disappointed when I put it in my phone and it did nothing. The actual problem wasn't the battery at all. My phone had completely died (they call it sudden death syndrome, I believe), so I had to send it back to my parents in order to either exchange it or get a new phone. If I do get a new phone, which do you guys recommend? I prefer phones with good camera quality (as I'm an instagram and vsco cam addict).

On the bright side my friend came to visit this weekend! She graduated, but she lives about an hour and a half away from campus. We went bowling, shopping, and out to eat. We also spent a lot of time watching movies, and watching old tv shows reminiscing of our childhoods. It was really nice to see her, because even though we all talk through kakaotalk everyday we still miss each other. It was also fun just sitting in the living room, talking about pets and how we both have a desire to adopt a pet at some point (her when she gets her own apartment, and me when I graduate undergrad).

Since I don't have my phone here are some pictures and links to things I've found interesting throughout the week.
